Happy new year!

Wow a whole year has past and i have still been pretty dreadful and posting i have one excuse for not posting for the last month as i have been in the Philippines visiting my family and doing christmasy things, it was lovely but now im back home to face the snow and the real world and now that i am unemployed and a professional pauper i am determined to make drawing my bread and butter so this blog will now become a regular thing! hurrah!

   Anyway here are two drawings i did before we left the first is a portrait of the famous occultist and magician Aleister Crowley and the second is a new tree person but with some added tarot imagery.  I have been getting into tarot recently, reading promethea by Alan Moore and watching Alan moore documentaries! Well enjoy ^_^

Long time no post!

I can't believe its already September! and i haven't posted for 2 months, anyway here are some drawings i did a while ago, they were for a competition to illustrate Angela Carters "The Bloody Chamber" alas i did not win but at least i can put them up here, the book is a collection of short stories so the illustrations are for two of the stories in the book, the first is for the bloody chamber the second Puss in boots which makes me want to try and do more print designs. 

Volcano and cave

 Jack Barraclough gave me a graphic novel/storybook idea about a volcano about a year ago(!) and i've done some finished looking pictures, hurray! They weren't planned out so maybe they won't be in the final thing, but i like them and its a start I geuss.  

 My Lolo(filipino for grandad) is from a part of the Philippines called Bicol and thats where Mayon Volcano is situated, were visiting it around christmas time! but Im a bit scared as its a pretty active one, anyway the picture is based on that and the cave was based on the underground river on Palawan island.  Hopefully we'll get to see that too.....

Monkey

I read Wu ch'eng-en' Monkey a few months ago and really didn't like the cover design, it looked like a chick lit cover with faux chinese font and if it hadn't been a present i don't think i would've picked it up( i really judge a book by its cover) so i have made my own,  It shows the stone egg that monkey is born from.   

Posters!

     I haven't posted here for a aaaaaggggessss anyway here are two posters i made.  One is for the amazzzing Halo Halo Trash kit tour which we got back from last week and this one just below is for a fabulous gig that will be happening at Stockwell studios, they'll be a exhibition there too so it should be a grand day out!

Pinoy Pride!

Not my usual style i suppose, but here is a design i did for a tshirt for a friends band. He's a huge fan of the AWESOME filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, so i just thought what the heck I'm just gonna do a big ole picture of Manny! I'm not sure if his bandmates will go for it but i hope so wanna wear this Teeeeee.
